Sausage Balls


2 c. Bisquick (your choice: original, gluten free, or reduced fat)
1+ (8 oz.) pkg shredded cheese, (your choice, I use sharp)
2, 16 oz. pkgs sausage (I use 1 mild, 1 hot), at room temperature

Combine all ingredients. (May add more cheese if needed). Roll into small balls. Place on parchment paper lined cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes**. These may be frozen until ready to use, if desired.

*These can also be placed in a crockpot on low or "keep warm" setting for gatherings (like New Years Eve parties) and they won't burn.
**10-15 minutes might be long enough based on your oven. You don't want them to be too hard, especially if you need to warm them up again on a different day.
