1 T. vinegar or lemon juice
enough whole or 2% milk to make 1 c.
Combine ingredients and let stand for 5 minutes before using.
*other measurements:
- 1/4 cup buttermilk = 1/4 cup milk + 3/4 teaspoon lemon juice/vinegar
- 1/3 cup buttermilk = 1/3 cup milk + 1 teaspoon lemon juice/vinegar
- 1/2 cup buttermilk = 1/2 cup milk + 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice/vinegar
- 3/4 cup buttermilk = 3/4 cup milk + 2 1/4 teaspoons lemon juice/vinegar
