Chicken and Rice Casserole

3 c. chicken, cooked and diced

1 pkg. dry onion soup mix

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 can cream of chicken soup

2 1/4 c. milk

3/4 c. sour cream

1/2 c. water

2 c. minute rice, uncooked

1/4 t. salt

1/2 t. pepper

1 pkg. shredded cheddar cheese, optional*

panko bread crumbs, optional*

1/2 c. onions, diced, optional*

1 clove garlic, minced, optional*

parsley and cracked black pepper for garnish, optional

Preheat oven to 350. Combine all ingredients except garnish items. (*I added the onions, garlic too) Pour in sprayed 9x13 dish. (*I topped with cheese and panko.) Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 10 more minutes until golden brown. I served with steamed broccoli.

My husband really liked it!
