1 box golden butter cake mix*
11 oz. mandarin oranges
large box vanilla instant pudding
4 eggs
1/2 c. oil
8 oz. cool whip, thawed
20 oz. can crushed pineapple
Combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and oranges, including juice. Mix well and place in 3 round pans (or 1 9x13)Bake 25-30 minutes at 350. Mix together dry pudding and crushed pineapple, including juice. Fold in cool whip. Frost on cake. *Best if made a day ahead and refrigerated overnight.
*cake mixes used to be 18oz, but are now 15oz. You will need to add 2/3 c. yellow or white cake mix to make your cake turn out right. **In 2024 cake mixes started being 13.25 oz. You will need to add 1 c. additional cake mix to this recipe.
