1 box butter recipe chocolate cake mix + 2/3 cake mix*
2 T. water
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. margarine, melted
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
10 oz. vanilla chips
Heat oven to 350. Spray 9x13 pan. Combine all ingredients except nuts and chips, using a spoon. Stir in nuts and chips. Press firmly into pan. Bake 30 minutes until top forms a crust that is dry to the touch. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Makes 32 bars.
*Cake mixes used to be 18 oz. but now they are 15 oz. Adding the additional 2/3 c. solves the problem.
