Corn Light Bread

1 c. corn meal
1 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 t. salt
2 t. baking powder
1 egg. beaten
1 1/4 c. buttermilk

Heat and grease loaf pan. Combine all dry ingredients. Add egg and buttermilk. Pour into hot loaf pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
