Naomi's Freezer Slaw

large head cabbage, grated

1-2 sticks celery, diced

2 c. sugar

1 t. celery seed

green pepper, chopped

1/2 c. water

1 c. vinegar

1 t. mustard seed

Put vegetables in ice water and chill. Simmer the seasonings 15 minutes. Pour hot solution over cabbage mixture. Chill, then freeze. *This is a great way to use excess cabbage and to have in the winter.
